ILA 2016: Gloves come off in TLVS fight
MBDA and Raytheon are fighting a bloody battle over the German Tactical Air Defence System (TLVS).
Although MBDA was selected with its Medium Extended Air Defence System (MEADS) as the TVLS solution in mid-2015, the German MoD has said this will only be subject to the successful development of the system.
This has given rival Raytheon, which offered the Patriot system, the slim chance of wresting the programme away from MBDA. During briefings at ILA 2016 in Berlin, the companies have traded blows over the project and the capabilities of their products.
