IDEX 2017: The lay of the land

The Middle East is about as unstable as anyone can remember with the civil war in Syria, the continuing fight against Daesh in Iraq and the proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia raging on in Yemen.

This is the backdrop to the upcoming IDEX defence exhibition in the UAE, where industry will be displaying their equipment and technologies that can improve operational efficiency and accuracy, and potentially save lives amid the geo-political turmoil.

For business, the GCC countries in particular will be under focus, although each country is very different in its approach to defence procurement.
