IDEX 2017: Harris to digitise UAE battle management

The UAE Land Forces are set to receive and upgrade to their battle management that will see them transition to digital systems.

A contract worth $189 million announced at IDEX was signed with Harris for the Emirates Command & Control System (ECCS) Land Tactical System (ELTS) programme this year to carry out the work on an initial brigade.

The company beat competition from Raytheon and Thales and is leading a team of contractors including Systematic, DRS, Saab and UAE company Al Taif.
