IDEX 2015: FNSS positions for Turkish special vehicles
A new CBRN variant of the 6x6 Pars armoured vehicle has been displayed by Turkish manufacturer FNSS for the first time at the IDEX exhibition.
It is the first ever domestically-designed and built CBRN vehicle for Turkey and is being developed to meet a Turkish Army requirement for 60 vehicles under the Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) programme, which is a very large number of this type than is usually required.
The overall SPV requirement is for 472 vehicles in total that will comprise a mixture of 8x8 and 6x6 vehicles in different variants including command and control; ambulance; CBRN; surveillance
