Finnish-Latvian vehicle system to focus on mobility and cost-efficiency

Finland and Latvia are increasing joint efforts to improve their land forces' capabilities, via a collaborative programme to develop a common armoured wheeled vehicle system.

Both countries are focusing on producing a platform that will provide mobility allied to cost-efficiency.

Col Rainer Peltoniemi, inspector of infantry at the Finnish Army Command, said that technical discussions between Finland and Latvia showed they have similar capability needs.
