Eurosatory: Saab secures UK training extension

Saab Systems will be awarded a MSEK210 ($31.5million) contract on 18 June by the UK MoD to provide training for the British Army in Kenya.

The company has provided its brigade group level Deployable Tactical Engagement Simulation (DTES) system since 2009 for three years and received its first contract extension for two years in 2012. This latest contract will extend this by a further three years.

The contract was originally expected on 1 June but has been delayed.
