Eurosatory: Nouvelle IFV Piranha lancé

General Dynamics European Land Systems représente leur dernier véhicule, la nouvelle génération 8x8 Piranha III véhicule troupe à roues (IFV) à l’exposition Eurosatory à Paris.

Le groupe disait que le véhicule a été développé en réponse aux exigences client pour augmenter le niveau de protection, la mobilité hors route et la possibilité de croissance future.

Comme protection, le Piranha III qui pèse 27t est équipé d’un Konsberg 12.7mm station d’arme à distance (RWS). Il est capable de loger neuf passagers en addition du conducteur, canonnier et commandant. Le poids du Piranha d’origine était 22t.
