Eurosatory: Nexter and Avibras sign artillery deal

A cooperation agreement has been signed by Nexter and Avibras for the development of a 155mm Caesar artillery truck-mounted gun for Brazil.

The agreement was signed at Eurosatory, where Nexter is displaying all three existing variants of the gun. Nexter said the system will be based on the same mobility, logistics and command and control as the Brazilian ASTROS System.

A spokesperson from Nexter told Shephard that the programme is in its ‘first stage’ and there is ‘no design yet’ as so far it is just an agreement to work together on a proposal.
