Eurosatory 2012: Ultralife pursues SWaP battery solutions

Ultralife has begun marketing its latest family of battery systems after unveiling them at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) in May.

Speaking to Shephard at Eurosatory on 11 June, Brad Salatino, sales manager at Ultralife, described how the company's lithium Extended Capacity BA-5390 battery provides more than 110% capability than the in-service BA-5590U. The battery has been designed to replace Ultralife's Small Format BA-5390 lithium battery which is itself half the size and 31% lighter than the 5590U variant.
