Eurosatory 2012: Thales launches comprehensive air defence offering

Thales has revamped its air defence offering, rebranding its various products under a common umbrella and unveiling a new multi-weapon air defence system.

The company used the Eurosatory exhibition to outline the launch of a ‘comprehensive’ package of advanced air defence systems from Thales and ThalesRaytheonSystems, which integrates various systems to offer a ‘plug and fight’ capability.

Thales representatives said the development of the package was driven by both the changing nature of warfare and recent advances in technology, which had led to many customers looking for a ‘total, coherent set of solutions.'
