Eurosatory 2012: Jenoptik unveils new rangefinder

Jenoptik has used the opening of the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris to launch a new laser rangefinder, which combines a high resolution thermal imager with a rangefinder, digital magnetic compass and GPS.

Announcing the release of the Nyxus Bird rangefinder, the company claimed the system was the first multi-functional thermal imager that combines day/night vision with a target localisation capability in a package weighing less than 1.5kg for easy one-handed operation.
