DVD2014: WCSP moves ahead as ABSV waits
The UK’s Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme (WCSP) is expected to complete its critical design review (CDR) in Q2 2015, whist the Armoured Battlefield Support Vehicle (ABSV) programme is still to be put together.
After the WCSP’s CDR it is expected that acceptance trials will proceed from mid-2015 through to late 2016 and the DE&S is on track to meet the initial service acceptance of 28 vehicles in 2020. The programme is currently in the demonstration phase under contract to Lockheed Martin and recently completed a Delta design review in April 2014.
