DSEI 2017: Saab launches new mortar ammunition

Saab Bofors Dynamics Switzerland (SBDS), a subsidiary of Saab, has launched a new 120mm mortar ammunition at DSEI this year.

Known as 'Thor', the mortar features preformed fragmentation technology and has already received interest from potential customers.

According to Christopher Leitner, head of marketing and sales at Saab, SBDS is expecting to announce its first customer for Thor at the end of the year, with the ammunition currently in small-scale production.
