Patria is pushing ahead with the development of its AMVxp 8x8 vehicle modification range with a new turreted Infantry Fighting Vehicle variant.

At the DSEI exhibition in London, the company has displayed an xp variant AMV fitted with an Oto Melara Hitfist 30 turret.

Jarkko Savenius, spokesperson for Patria told Shephard that the combat weight has been increased up to 32t, providing a payload weight of 15t allowing a customer to choose what they want to add in terms of weapons or protection. This is an advance on the standard AMV configuration, which is 27t.
