DSEI 2015: Hawkei ready for selection

Thales Australia is anticipating that the Hawkei light protected mobility vehicle will be selected by the end of 2015 for Australia’s Land 121 Phase 4 requirement.

The vehicle has been in development since 2009 as Australia is looking to replace its aged fleet of Land Rover vehicles.

Speaking at the DSEI exhibition in London Ian Gethin, director of sales and marketing of protected vehicles at Thales Australia, said: 'We have completed blast testing on the vehicle and developed numerous prototypes. To date we have carried out over 200,000km of road testing on the vehicle.’
