DSEI 2015: Bushmaster baseline variant planned

In a bid to boost export potential for the Bushmaster Thales Australia is planning to release a baseline version of the vehicle before the end of the year.

The baseline version of the protected mobility vehicle will see a lot of the additional specifications added over the years by the company’s largest customer, the Australian Defence Force (ADF), subsequently removed.

‘We are offering this version as part of a new customer focus. Removing some of the added specifications makes this a more cost effective vehicle,' said Ian Gethin, director of sales and marketing of protected vehicles at Thales Australia.
