DSEI 2013: Denel unveils new weapon systems
Denel Land Systems is displaying the GI-30 30mm CamGun electro-mechanical cannon and the M10 60mm breech-loading mortar internationally for the first time at the DSIE exhibition in London.
The GI-30 has been designed and manufactured for the South African Army’s Badger ICV and Denel is now looking to market the product for export markets.
‘The CamGun is suitable for fitting into other turrets on the market,’ Colin Singarum, senior executive business development of Denel, told Shephard at DSEI on 10 September.
The GI-30 is designed to fire link-less 30mm x 173mm ammunition through a dual feeder from a closed-breech position,
