D&S 2019: Panus aims high with AFV range
Thai company Panus Assembly appeared at an international defence exhibition for the first time when it exhibited at Defense & Security 2019 in Bangkok, with two armoured vehicles on display there: the AFV-420P and R600.
The company, which traditionally manufactured trailers, has leaped headfirst into developing armoured vehicles. It has supplied two Phantom-380X1 4x4 MRAPs to the Thai military for use in the insurgency-plagued southern Thailand. It also donated a single HMV-420 (previously called the HMV-150) to the Royal Thai Marine Corps (RTMC), this being based on a stripped-down V-150 4x4 hull.
