Dillon Aero displays new gatling gun
Dillon Aero exhibited its new 503D 12.7x99mm (.50 calibre) three-barrel gatling gun at SHOT Show 2020.
The electronically-driven gun (pictured) is derived from the Dillon Aero M134D, with three significant differences: the three-barrel configuration (the M134D has six); a flash hider that helps to mitigate the larger 12.7x99mm muzzle blast; and redesigned operating controls with a wider spade grip.
The 503D is designed to be mounted on airborne and land platforms, in addition to hardened ground structures. The 503D has an effective range of 1,800m and a rate of fire of 1,500 rounds per minute. Barrel life is approximately 35,000 rounds
