Denmark shortlists APCs for testing
The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) announced on 12 February that it has selected five armoured personnel carriers for evaluation to replace the Danish Army’s fleet of forty-year-old M113 series vehicles. The project is the largest army acquisition programme in decades.
Following a prequalification of interested companies in May-June 2012 the DALO invited eight suppliers on 10 July to submit bids for 360 APCs with options ranging from 206 to 450 vehicles. The bids also include a 15-year framework agreement covering the support of the vehicles in service. The first APC is scheduled to be delivered in 2015
