The Netherlands and Germany will receive additional Boxer CRT30 8x8 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) under a deal signed between Europe’s OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) and ARTEC, a consortium of KNDS and Rheinmetall.
This procurement brings the total new investment in the Boxer programme to around €6.5 billion (US$7.5 billion) over the last 12 months.
The announcement preceded Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger confirming that the Arminius Boxer contract, Germany’s roughly €25 billion order for new Boxer armoured vehicle variants, will be finalised in December 2026.
More than 2,100 Boxers have been ordered in different versions including 211 for Australia
