Bahrain requests rockets, missiles from US
The US State Department has made a determination approving a potential foreign military sale of rockets and missiles to Bahrain, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced on 28 September.
In a package worth $300 million, Bahrain has requested 120 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System M31 Unitary Rocket Pods and 110 Army Tactical Missiles System M57 T2K Unitary missiles. Also included are training, technical and logistics support services; and other related elements of programme support.
If the sale goes ahead, Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control will be the prime contractor.
