Babcock teams up with Lockheed Martin to deliver HF Comms to ADF
Babcock Australasia and Lockheed Martin Australia have signed a collaboration agreement to deliver HF communications to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
The agreement is the outcome of a joint response to a request for tender issued under Joint Project 9101 for Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS) which was put out by Defence Australia.
Graeme Nayler, managing director of Babcock Australasia, said: ‘We offer better value for money by drawing on our combined capability and capacity to deliver a sovereign solution that provides a performance edge to the ADF.’
Babcock has previously supplied HF communications services to the UK Ministry of Defence for over 18 years and was recently awarded a similar contract by New Zealand to deliver a similar product by 2023 to the NZDF.
