Australia lays out Land 159 lethality roadmap
Following an industry brief on 30 July, further details have emerged about Australia’s Land 159 Lethality Systems programme.
Prime contractor Nioa released details of the expression of interest for Tranche 1 of the project. With the government, it will evaluate subsystems across a variety of categories to find a ‘best of breed’ to include in a complete system.
Required Tranche 1 missions systems are divided into two parts. The first is for a sniper system that includes the following capabilities: medium- and long-range anti-personnel, anti-material, sniper surveillance and a sniper soldier combat ensemble (SSCE).
