AUSA 2019: L3Harris adds Black Hornet to ENVG-B mix

L3Harris is looking at the next generation evolution of its Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binocular (ENVG-B) for the US Army by connecting the solution to a nano-UAV.

The company showcased the ENVG-B connected to the Soldier Borne Sensors (SBS), otherwise known as the FLIR Black Hornet, connected to the network and sending imagery to the soldier’s binocular display.

Speaking to Shephard, Lynn Bollengier, VP and general manager of warrior mission systems at L3Harris said that the company was currently under contract to test the system with the SBS in conjunction with the US Army.
