AUSA 2016: Sniper rifle testing due
Heckler & Koch is set to deliver an initial batch of 15 G28 rifles to the US Army for testing in the next couple of months.
The company’s 7.62mm G28 was selected as the winner of the Compact Semi-Automatic Sniper System (CSASS) in April and has been refining the design.
CSASS is intended to provide the user with a sniper rifle that can be used in a wider variety of missions than the existing M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System. The G28 is the designated marksman rifle for the German Army.
