AUSA 2014: Bulgaria acquires 10 more Commando vehicles

Textron Systems has won a contract from Bulgaria to supply 10 of its 4x4 Commando armoured vehicles valued at $15.2 million.

The contract was secured via the US Army Contracting Command and was announced by Textron at the AUSA Annual exhibition in Washington DC on 13 October. The company stated that it will build the vehicles at its facility in Slidell, La.

Deliveries will take place in the first quarter of 2015 and the contract will be completed by 30 June 2015. Textron will also provide fielding hardware and technical services to the Bulgarian military, which will deploy the vehicles
