AUSA 2013: Honeywell advances TALIN navigation sensor

Honeywell Aerospace has unveiled the TALIN 6000, a next-generation navigation sensor that provides enhanced situational awareness for combat vehicles, with or without the use of GPS. 

The TALIN 6000 is the latest addition to Honeywell’s Tactical Advanced Land Inertial Navigator (TALIN) product range, and boasts a ‘30% greater pointing accuracy than the previous TALIN systems’, with ‘more precise survey capability and targeting accuracy’, the company said in a statement.    

Chris Lund, surface navigation product line manager at Honeywell, described the 6000 as ‘the most capable TALIN system to date’, offering enhanced attitude performance for pointing applications.
