AUSA 2013: BAE displays AMPV offering

A new tracked vehicle has been put on display at AUSA by BAE Systems that is undergoing testing for the US Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) programme.

Greg Mole, programme director for AMPV at BAE Systems, said that the mortar variant of the AMPV vehicle would resume testing at the Yuma Proving Grounds after a firing assessment had been halted due to the government shut down.

He said the company had responded to a second draft RFP on 15 October that was released two days before. An initial RFP was released in March this year and a final RFP is expected
