AUSA 10: Army leadership looks to future

During a joint briefing at the AUSA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC the Secretary of the Army, John McHugh and US Army Chief of Staff, Gen George Casey, outlined their priorities for the army. 'In at time of war out greatest interest is in providing troops forward deployed with what they need,' McHugh stated.

However, they were keen to point out that as the US Army moves in to its second decade of war that priority also needed to be given to resetting the force and getting ready for future conflicts beyond operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. A central plank
