ATI gains role in US precision-strike missile development
Advanced Technology International (ATI) has been awarded an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement with a ceiling value of $180.75 million by the US Army Contracting Command.
The agreement will enable the South Carolina-based company to work on enhanced technology maturation and risk reduction for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM).
With an estimated work end date of 20 November 2021, the company will work on the project in Grand Prairie, Texas and at its main facility in Summerville, South Carolina.
The $180.75 million was obligated at the time of award from the FY2020 research, development, test and evaluation (Army) fund.
PrSM will be a surface-to-surface, all weather, precision-strike guided missile fired from the M270A1 MLRS(pictured) and the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS)
Lockheed Martin is the principal contractor for PrSM technology maturation and risk reduction phase, after Raytheon exited the competition in March 2020.
