During the second ADAS 2016 exhibition in Manila, Shephard received further details of Aselsan’s sale of A100 night vision devices to the Philippines.
The Turkish company is fulfilling a PHP712.069 million ($15.4 million) order for 4,464 monocular devices for the Philippine Army, able to be helmet- or weapon-mounted.
Yunus Emre Köymen, Aselsan’s marketing and business development manager, said the contract was signed on 27 July, with half the devices to be delivered within seven months and the remainder within an additional seven months.
However, because of the urgency of the army’s requirement, Aselsan will deliver 1,000 units before the end
