AAD2014: DongFeng unveils new 6x6
A new 6x6 armoured vehicle built by DongFeng Off-road Vehicle Co has been displayed at the AAD exhibition at AFB Waterkloop in Pretoria, South Africa.
Called the ‘high mobility and light-weight protection platform’, the vehicle is 6.2m-long and 2.35m-wide with a maximum design weight of 8,000kg. This is broken down into an un-laden weight of 5,500kg and a load capacity of 2,500kg. It can achieve a maximum speed of 130km/h.
According to images at the show, the vehicle can hold seven dismounts in the rear compartment that measures 2.2m-long. Diagrams of the layout of the vehicle show four seats in
