OSI Maritime receives Turkish Navy order
OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) will provide the Turkish Navy with its Warship Navigation System under a newly signed contract, announced on 12 August.
The Warship Navigation System, which includes Electronic Chart Precise Integrated Navigation System – Warship (ECPINS-W) software, will be installed on two Landing Ship Tanks and two Rescue and Towing Ships for submarines in the Turkish Navy’s fleet.
ECPINS-W is an International Maritime Organization (IMO) approved Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) that has been independently certified against NATO WECDIS STANAG 4564.
Developed specifically for use on warships, the system is designed to enhance situational awareness and improve navigational safety, allowing navigators to navigate in the most challenging conditions and conduct mission-critical work successfully.
