NAWCAD awards radar contract for USCG C-27Js
The US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division has awarded an IDIQ contract to Telephonics Corporation for multi-mode radar systems, the US Coast Guard announced on 9 May.
The contract has an approximate value of $31.8 million.
The contract is part of the coast guard’s efforts to equip its C-27J Spartan medium range surveillance aircraft with components that further enhance mission capability. Telephonics will supply up to 19 radar systems that will improve the detection capability of the C-27J fleet.
The contract also includes logistics support and engineering technical services. The contract completion date is May 2023.
