DSEI 2015: 1SL on manpower challenges

Manpower requirements remain a ‘critical challenge’ to Royal Navy operations as changing national demographics affect recruitment, according to First Sea Lord Admiral Sir George Zambellas.

Speaking ahead of the DSEI exhibition at the RUSI Sea Power Conference at London’s ExCel centre on Monday, Zambellas discussed a range of topics to delegates attending including future plans for the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers, maintaining continuous-at-sea-deterrent (CASD), and the importance in the development of new platforms and technologies.
