NUSHIP Brisbane completes CAT 5 trials
The Royal Australian Navy’s incoming Hobart class guided missile destroyer, NUSHIP Brisbane, has completed its Category 5 sea trials off the coast of Adelaide, the Australian Navy announced on 30 May.
During the trials, the functional performance of the ship’s mission system was verified. The verification is a pre-requisite before the delivery of the ship to the Australian Department of Defence for provisional acceptance. The trials included testing of key components of both the platform and combat systems.
NUSHIP Brisbane is set to be commissioned in October 2018.
