Zhuhai Air Show 2018: Quantum radars, laser weapons and technology galore

China likes to talk up its technological prowess, often in a peremptorily way, but at least there was evidence of the directions the country is taking with such things as an active phased-array radar for airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft, a quantum radar and a laser weapon all on display at Airshow China 2018.

Beginning with the radar, the 14th Institute of the state-owned China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) showed a rotating conceptual scale model that it labelled the KLC-7.
