VectorNav claims disruptive development with new miniature inertial products
VectorNav Technologies on 11 August launched a new line of inertial products called VectorNav Tactical Embedded.
The product range includes VN-110E IMU/AHRS, the VN-210E GNSS-Aided INS, and the VN-310E Dual Antenna GNSS/INS (pictured).
Featuring a tactical-grade IMU and a multi-band GNSS receivers, Tactical Embedded delivers milliradian attitude accuracy and centimetre-level positioning capability in a 15g package.
In achieving economy of scale with this miniature size, the Tactical Embedded line ‘delivers unprecedented size to performance and enables cost reductions for a wide range of autonomous pointing and geo-referencing applications, such as gimballed ISR, SATCOM systems, LiDAR mapping and photogrammetry’, the company stated.
Tactical Embedded also features support for external GPS enabled with a selective availability anti-spoofing module (SAASM) for ISR, EW, munitions and UAV navigation.
VectorNav President John Brashear described the development as a ‘disruptive step in intertial navigation capability’, adding: ‘Systems integrators worldwide can now embed tactical-grade inertial navigation capabilities into their electronics, unlocking a range of new applications and possibilities.’
