Israel sets up new department to boost development of AI and autonomy

First RF Corporation will develop prototype hardware and software for RF electronic antenna cancellation and beam-forming technology, under a $24.9 million contract from the US Air Force Research Laboratory.
The contract includes R&D, testing, evaluation and deployment of advanced RF systems, the DoD noted on 13 August.
These systems may support various RF functions such as radar, communications, EW, SIGINT and direction finding.
Work will be performed in Boulder, Colorado, for completion by mid-August 2026.
