US builds cyber mission force

The US DoD is creating a cyber mission force designed to defend the US from the kind of cyber attack experienced by Sony in 2014.

Though Pyongyang has denied involvement it shows that a state as unsophisticated as North Korea can hack into the IT systems of a technology giant such as Sony in order to steal large amounts of sensitive data.

A spokesperson from the DoD told Shephard: ‘Currently, we are building a cyber mission force to enhance our ability to deter aggression in cyberspace, deny adversaries their objectives and defend the nation from cyber attacks that threaten
