US awards more funds amid hypersonics development race

The US DoD will provide $23,208,996 in additional funding for research into hypersonic vehicles carried out by research company Cubrc following the US military’s recently renewed commitment to developing this area of technology.

The additional millions of dollars is billed as an ‘amendment’ to the biological and aeronautics R&D company for the ‘research and testing of high-speed vehicle concepts, and analysis of supersonic and hypersonic vehicles and their components’ according to the contract announcement on the US DoD website.
