US Army kicks off Network Integration Evaluation event
The US Army has started Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) 18.2 at Fort Bliss, Texas, which will run from 1-12 November.
The field event, which is hosted by the United States Army Joint Modernisation Command (JMC), represents the ‘final’ iteration of decade-long NIE activities as the US Army transitions to a combination of large Joint Warfighting Assessments supplemented with shorter, more specialised field evaluations.
According to Brig Gen Johnny Davis, JMC Commander, the current NIE is assessing a dozen different systems, including three systems that are ‘under test’.
