The first Eurofighter Typhoon fitted with the Captor-E active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar has completed power-on flights, with trials continuing for launch customer Kuwait.
Speaking to journalists at the delivery of the 500th Eurofighter Typhoon to the Italian Air Force in Turin, Volker Paltzo, CEO of Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug said trials were ongoing in Scotland with one instrumented production aircraft (IPA) from the UK.
'We have done power-on flights and we have also done power-off flights for the structural integrity tests,' said Paltzo.
