Thailand rolls out first upgraded F-5ST

The first prototype of the upgraded F-5 Super Tigris (F-5ST), completed by Elbit Systems, has been delivered to the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF). ACM Johm Rungswang, commander-in-chief of the RTAF, attended a rollout ceremony hosted by Wing 21 on 23 May.

The RTAF’s programmeto upgrade 14 F-5E/F fighters, a type that entered service in 1978, is divided into two batches, with ten units in the first phase and four in the second.
