Harris Corporation announced a US$12 million contract for Falcon III radios for the Armed Forces of the Philippines on 16 February during the Singapore Air Show.

The order covers Falcon RF-7800V tactical vehicular radios integrated with RF-7800I intercom systems that will be fitted to vehicles of the army’s Light Armoured Division. Harris is also supplying Falcon RF-7800V handheld radios to the army, as the Philippines attempts to modernise its military.

This latest contract, one in a series with Manila that has seen more than 15,000 Falcon radios delivered to date, illustrates Harris Corporation’s penetration in the Asia-Pacific market.
