Industry experts have warned that the oppression of social media in certain nation states should be classified as a form of force, akin to cyber warfare.

The banning of Twitter and other social media sites in Turkey, for example, represents the forcing of a population against its will, and serves to show the government’s effort to control its people, according to experts at Selex ES.
