Flight trials of Elbit System’s advanced electro-optic system, the Spectro XR, are scheduled to be conducted in May 2018 with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The long range, day/night, multi-spectral electro-optical intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance system has already been deployed by international military customers.
The flight trials will take place on a range of fixed wing and rotary platforms, according to Mike Casey, VP sales and marketing at Instro Precision, a UK-based subsidiary of Elbit.
