Saab to upgrade Thai air C2 network

Saab announced on 7 August that it has been contracted to upgrade and enhance the Royal Thai Air Force’s (RTAF) existing Air Command and Control System (ACCS).

Work on this project, for which no monetary fund was mentioned, will occur between 2018 and 2020.

Saab was awarded the contract after a competitive tender, and the company claimed it ‘can ensure that the system remains fully operational, effective and future-proofed’. Development of the modernised system will take place in Järfälla, Sweden.
