Rockwell Collins position for changing op environment

Changing operational environments will force the adoption of new technology and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) as units seek to reduce reliance on satellite communications (SATCOM), Rockwell Collins has advised.

Speaking to Shephard ahead of the SOFIC in Tampa, company executives explained a diverse range of solutions being offered up to conventional and more specialist forces.

Stressing requirement for a single ‘integrated air picture’, Alan Bergeron, business development manager, ground communication products at Rockwell Collins warned of the ‘day without space’ when coalition forces might no longer be able to rely upon satellite technology.
